Utilizing Inbound Webhooks: In PowerDialer

Utilizing Inbound Webhooks in PowerDialer

This article introduces webhooks in PowerDialer and explains how they can be used to integrate with external services and automate workflows.

Webhooks are automated notification and trigger mechanisms that allow PowerDialer to interact with other applications. With them, external events can initiate actions inside PowerDialer—such as sending incoming contact data to trigger calls or syncing contacts from a CRM.

PowerDialer supports multiple webhook directions, and Inbound Webhooks allow your services to send contact data directly into PowerDialer to create or append contacts within a contact list.

  1. Navigate to the Contact List page and open the contact import dialog.

Select the Webhooks tab.

  1. Once PowerDialer receives sample data, click Configure Mapping and map the incoming fields to the PowerDialer contact fields.
