Settings Configuration
The settings option in Power Dialer is available in the Dialer Tab in the main dashboard. Here you can find the settings button right next to the "Start power dialing" option.

The settings option is an important feature in Power Dialer which enables you to configure your call according to certain parameters which make your calling more efficient and appropriate for your use case. The power dialing configurations that can be changed are as follows -
- Enable Automatic Local Dialing: This option when enabled helps you to have a phone number with a area code that matches the code of your prospective lead to which you are calling. This helps in boosting answer rates as it increases number familiarity.
- Source Phone Number: The source phone number is the outbound caller ID that your contact can see whenever you call them. It is also typically the callback number to which the incoming calls will be routed. You can also buy new source phone numbers by clicking on the "Buy a new one" button.
- Parallel Dials Per Call: This option is used to control how many numbers the dialer can call at the same time for a single agent. It's essentially the lines per agent. The dialer makes outbound calls based on the number selected which can range from 1 to 5. As soon as any contact answers, the call is connected to the agent and rest of the calls are automatically dropped. Higher value selected here results typically in higher connect rate and call volume per hour.
- Call timeout: Call timeout refers to the maximum time that outbound calls ring before disconnecting. It ranges from 20 to 120 seconds. Shorter times typically reduce agent wait time and helps the dialer move faster through your contact list, but may lead to more connection drops.
- Voicemail: If this option is enabled, the receiver of the call can expect to hear an automated message (which can also be configured with the voice of the caller using AI). This helps ensure that the prospective lead knows about the call status when the call is not picked up.
- Skip Machine Calls: The skip machine calls feature enables the dialer to automatically skip or ignore calls that are answered by a machine/IVR/voicemail. This ensures that the call is answered only by humans.
- Hang Up Other Calls Once Connected: If this option is enabled, whenever the calls are made parallel using the parallel dialing mode, once any call from the calls is connected first, rest of the calls are automatically hung up. This prevents multiple people to answer at the same time.
- Dial All Numbers For Each Contact: When enabled, the system will attempt to dial all numbers for a contact until one answers. It is used to maximize the chances of reaching a person before moving on to the next contact.
- **Record Calls: **Record calls feature lets you to capture the audio of the call so it can be reviewed later.
- **Don't record calls for two-party consent states: **This option when enabled ensures that the call recording is automatically disabled when you're calling people in locations where all parties have to consent to recording.
